As seen in the June/July issue of Bust Magazine!!!! (Page 34)

This vintage reproduction is not really a maillot because it is actually a two piece. As a two piece, it fits more comfortably, it’s easier to go to the ladies room; and it won’t bunch, sag, or stretch vertically when you sit. Style shown is blue with two parallel white piping lines and rouching detail in the middle.

Could be interesting.  Diane von Furstenberg is going to design a resort-collection inspired by Andy Warhol. She is teaming up with The Andy Warhol Foundation to create a 2008 Resort and 2009 pre-spring swimwear collection. The swimsuits (bikinis, caftans, one-piece suits) will be having Warhols iconic prints on them. Von Furstenberg thinks that Andy Warhols iconic images look glamourous and right for the beach. During the Studio 54 times, Diane actually posed for Andy Warhols portraits.  Who’d have thunk it?
